Web monitoring and blocking
Tracks kids’ online activities and then creates an easy-to-read report that shows parents at a glance all the websites their kids visit or attempt to visit. Lets parents block specific sites or types of sites that they feel are inappropriate for their kids.
Time limits
Allows parents to set limits on how much time each of their kids can spend on the computer. They can even limit computer use to specific hours or days of the week.
Social network monitoring
This feature shows parents what social networking sites their kids belong to. It lets them see the name, age, and profile picture their kids use on each site, so they’ll know how their children represent themselves online.
Chat monitoring
This feature monitors many major chat services and tells parents who their kids chat with and what they say. Using it, parents can make sure the people their kids chat with—and what they chat about—are appropriate.
Search monitoring
This feature tracks the words, terms, and phrases kids search for online. It gives parents greater insight into their kids’ online interests and lets them know if their children are intentionally seeking out blocked sites or inappropriate content.
Custom alerts
Automatically alerts parents via email when their kids do something they shouldn’t, such as ignore a warning or attempt to visit a blocked site.

This desktop icon lets kids know that Norton Online Family is on the job, unlike other online safety solutions that spy on them secretly. Norton Online Family gives kids a say in setting the rules, so they’re more likely to follow them. If they attempt to visit a site and are blocked, they can even send their parents a message explaining why they want to visit the site.
